Sketching Dreams: Photography and the Imagination
November 5, 2025
How do your dreams look and feel once you are awake? Join Anna Russell, Exhibitions Production Coordinator and artist, together with curatorial fellow Paulina Choh in an open conversation about the work of Grete Stern, who founded the Berlin-based photography studio ringl + pit in 1930 with Ellen Auerbach. Stern eventually immigrated to Argentina, where from 1948 to 1951 she produced a series of photomontages titled Sueños (Dreams) to accompany a weekly magazine column that performed psychoanalysis on dreams submitted by readers. Offered in conjunction with the rotation The Shared New Vision of ringl + pit.
